u.s. government foreclosure sales
U.S. Government Foreclosure Sales:
If you clicked on the USDA link, you've already seen what one agency has in inventory and is selling in the way of foreclosures. Here is another link to help you locate USG foreclosed properties:

Pay attention to the wording of this paragraph on the above page:
The HomeSales.gov web site provides current information about single family homes for sale by the U.S. Federal Government. These previously owned homes are for sale by public auction or other method depending on the property. Anyone can buy a home for sale by the U.S. Government, but you must work with a real estate agent, broker or servicing representative to submit an offer or bid.
Currently the U.S. Departments of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Agriculture (USDA/Rural Development), and Veterans Affairs (VA) have homes listed on this site.
as it gives the first of several specific instructions for buying from the government. If you elect to go this route, be prepared to spend about twice the time it would take if it wasn't government owned. But, the plus side is you may just get a better bargain.
Only know if that is worth it to you. I personally don't deal with the USG as I've found it overly cumbersome. I'm a guy who doesn't like red tape costing me dollars and time and energy. But that is me. You are you so make up your own mind.
